Fossá Bridge in Vestmanna

On February 14^th 2019 Vestmanna Municipality and ArtiCon signed an agreement to construct a bridge across Fossá river in Vestmanna.

In late February 2019, planning began and the architect firm EYA designed the bridge. Works on site began in May.

The new Fossá bridge has two lanes and a sidewalk. The bridge is board-formed and cast-in-place. Approximately 500 m3 of concrete were used for the bridge.

We strive to work as sustainably as possible and are therefore very pleased that we were able to reuse the board shuttering frame used to make the bridge.
