Faroese Parliament
Some years ago the Faroese Parliament purchased their neighbour the former head quarter of the Faroese Telecom. In 1998 the original contractor Byggi-Service was asked to undertake the work of totally refurbish and renovate the Telecom building and connect it to the Parliamentary building. In December 2001 Articon purchased Byggi-Service and later on the two companies merged. The work was conducted in three stages and finally completed in January 2007 at a cost of 37,5 Mio DKK. In the former telecom building there are now a number of offices used by the parlamentarians, conference rooms and the management of the Parliament. The exterior has been decorated by a young gifted faroese artist.
