The Church in Hoyvík
On June 20th 2005, the Danish Queen Margrethe placed the foundation stone to the new church in Hoyvík where Articon was the successfull tenderer.
The construction, being a turn key project, was started on the 5th September same year,
The church, grandiously fitted into the small lake Tútakannutjørn, is an overall concrete construction. The roof is copper clad, oregon pine has been used for the interior walls the benches and the pulpit itself whilst the floor is of white ash and faroese rocks have been used for the font.
The church was formally delivered to the Eastern Consistory of Tórshavn 14th September 2007 and consecrated on All Saints Days 4th November 2007.
Mrs Katrin Dahl, Chairwoman of the building committee stated
