Tórshavnar Shipyard – New Work Shop and Storage Building

In 2003 Tórshavn Shipyard decided to build a new combined work shop and storage building as their premises had become too congested. Articon, together with Tórshavn Shipard and their advisors participated in the planning of the project, a building of 2 floors, partly 3 floors, with a total of 3.800 m².

The basement, floor and pillars were poured in concrete at the working site whilst the walls and the decks are prefabricated elements.

The project, which was delivered to Tórshavnar Shipyard in November 2003, improved considerable the working conditions of the shipyard.
