Traffic Harbour at Krambatanga

In 2004 Articon was the successfull tenderer of the new traffic harbour at Krambatangi in Suðuroy. This was a very large operation involving 300.000 m³ of rocks, 1.500 m³ of concrete and 1.100 tonnes of iron for reinforcement and interlocking. This provided the Tvøroyrar Municipality with 300 metres of interlocked quay side, 200 metres of break water pier and a harbour deck area of 10.000 m².

The work involved drilling, blasting, dredging, moving rocks, place interlocking iron, construct sewers and water pipes and install lightning equipment.

The building work was undertaken in August 2003 and completed in September 2004 at a cost of 51,8 Mio DKK.
